NY grants for dairy farmers

New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) recently announced grants for producers interested in harnessing on-farm renewable energy for their dairy operation. The grants from NYSERDA total $20 million and will be used to install anaerobic digesters, which can create electricity and heat from manure. Funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis; up to $2 million is available per project, depending on the project specifications.
