Massachusetts announces energy funding

The Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources announced funding for the Agricultural Energy Grant Program (Ag Energy), which provides up to $25,000 for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. Click here to download an application.

Funding is available for several dairy-specific projects, including plate coolers, variable frequency drives and heat exchangers, among others. Additionally, renewable energy projects such as solar or wind are eligible for this program. Below you will find a summary of the program:

  • Applications are due by June 11, 2015
  • Projects must be completed by June 30, 2016
  • Eligible projects include energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies
  • An energy audit is required to receive funding, but can be completed after submitting the Ag Energy application
  • New construction projects are covered
